Yesterday, after I got off from my work, I took Roy for a haircut. After that, I went to play with him. Then my uncle told me that they were going to watch the fireworks which was at the Outram Park there and asked me if I wanted to go. So I agreed as I never watch the fireworks before in Singapore. I remember I used to watch the fireworks when I was in Brunei, where my relatives would light up the firecrackers and fireworks during Chinese New Year. But it was so long le and I hardly had memory of the fireworks. So my uncle, aunt, Roy and I went to Outram Park after we had our dinner. When we reached there, we thought that the celebration had ended because the lion dancers were sitting on the road and resting. But my uncle said that the celebration only started at 9. So we went to shop around the shops first. The place was too crowded that we need to push our way because the some of the ways were being blocked. We went to see those Chinese New Year stuff. As the time was coming to 9, we quickly went to see the performance and the fireworks. The place was too crowded that we hardly can find a place to watch the “live” performance. We could only watch the performance through the 2 small screens. After the performance ended, the fireworks were being lightened up and the shapes of the fireworks were shown in the sky. At the same time, there were smokes being spread around that we hardly could open our eyes to see. At first, I thought that the sound would be loud but it seems ok to me. As soon as the fireworks finished, on the other side, the firecrackers are being lightened up for a while. Soon, the event has ended and many people went off. I think most people went there just because they wanted to watch the fireworks like us. As we went back home, the lion dancers were walking one round and many people went to touch them to bring good luck. |
