Yesterday, my whole family went to the nearby shopping center, Queensway Shopping Centre. My brother wanted to buy a new spectacle as his spectacle has spoilt for 3 years and my mother has been promising him to buy a new one but she kept delaying for so long. When my brother went to check his eye, I took one spectacle and wore. Wah…I looked like so si wen…haha…pai lei. And we three actually watched how my father persuaded the shop owner to lower down his price. I have never known that my father is actually so pro when it comes to killing the price and I am starting to admire my father. Then we went to shop around and my mother bought some clothes for me and my brother. Wah…so Kiasu…still got 4 month before Chinese New Year arrive…we already bought some…haha. After that, I went to my grandma’s house to play with Wei Jian. I was so impressed of him, because his exams was tomorrow and he still had time to play with me. He was watching the show “Mind ur language” in the internet. My uncle said the show was nice but I don’t think so. It was because I don’t like to watch the English show. Then while Wei Jian and I were playing the Chinese Chess, I heard my aunt was saying to him that Jovin was actually earning about $200++ for working 2 days. At that time, after hearing about these words, I suddenly felt that I was so useless. I work for a month, only earn about $500 but she worked for only 2 days, her salary is half of mine. I did not know why I suddenly had this thought. Today, my mother and I went to Tiong Bahru. She bought me 2 working T-shirt and then she also bought herself a dress. Haha…it seems that every time I went to Tiong Bahru, there are surely got new shops opening. After that, we went home and went to Ntuc. I also went to jog as normal. |

So troubled now…the god must be kidding me. There are jobs keep coming to me now and then when I have a job. So funny!!! Last week, it was the agent and now my cousin has helped me find a job yesterday. I did not know whether I should accept the job or not. In the end, I rejected the job. I do not know if I make the right decision. One has a better pay but surely, there are more stress and my current one only little pay. But I think I am at least feeling happy now with the current job and I do not ask for very much. And also, I will feel very bad and a little bit disappointed if I quit now because I only barely working for a month. And I am now starting to get along with my colleagues and we talk and joke around. If the jobs are offering one month earlier, I will surely take the offer as it offers more pay…haha. This Monday, after work, I went out with Jovin for a walk. I had wanted to share my troubles with her but in the end, I did not talk about it and she ended up sharing troubles with me. Just now, I went to my grandma’s house to watch the movie “Money not enough 2” with my uncle and his family. The show was a little bit funny at the front part and it was so touching at the back part of the show. Nearer to the ending part, the family had to decide whether to use the blood to save the grandma or the granddaughter. In the end, the grandma decided to give up on her life and use the blood to save her granddaughter. And also, today, the F1 race has started...so cool...but I don't think I am going to watch...cos not interested...haha...just writing for fun. And this week, nothing really exciting happens but my work is getting more and more. Haha… |

Again…Again…n…Again…Yesterday, my mother and I went to OG again. This was the fifth or sixth time that we went to OG this month. I was getting a little bit sian and I have been asking my mother to go to a different place. We went to Bugis because my mother wanted to exchange her OG points with things. Also, the China Jie Jie who was my neighbour last time, asked my mother to go out with her. And so we went first because my mother wanted to shop around the stalls and my mother bought me a new bag.

ARGH!!! So tired…I have been working for half a month le. There were more and more tasks for me to do and I have been seriously learning from the boss’s daughter and my colleagues. Today, the daughter told me that she was going to train me in all the other areas like scanning the newspaper and producing newspapers using machines and etc. When I heard it, I was quite surprised and my headache was getting worse. It means that in future, there will be many tasks for me to do that would make quite exhausted. But I think that it is a good thing for me to learn as much as possible. Probably, one day, when I learnt finished, I can go out to do this type of job or went to the printing business. Now I am starting to talk a little bit with my colleagues le. At least I got said hello to them. Personally, I am going to give me half a year to 1 year to continue to do this current job. It is because I think that this is a new experience for me and I wish to learn as many things as possible. At the same, I need to build up more confidence in me and to learn to communicate to people because I think that I am weak in the communication area. The most important thing, is that there is less stress and at the same, I have some goals to work towards. I will preserve to the end… In the mean time, yesterday, I think that there was a call from the PJ Human Resource. But I did not pick up the phone because I was working. I don’t know whether if there was any job available because I did not call the company back. And also, I had sore throat this week and I have seen the doctor le. I think because last week, I went out everyday and did not have enough rest. When I was working, I was quite tired and occasionally, cough can been heard. Now I am fine le. Haha…that’s all. Too tired le… |

On Friday, there was a call from the agency which Ying Qing recommended me called me for an interview. And of course, I told the person that I did not have any job currently and agreed for the interview. But as I was walking home from work, I was thinking maybe that I should not go for the interview as she mentioned that she need to see how good my typing skill is and I know that I can only type about 10 to 15 words per minute. So I called her back, wanted to tell her that I don’t want the job le but she said never mind and asked me just go for the interview. And so on Saturday morning, I went for the interview. The company was so hard to find even though there was a map for me to see and asking people for the company. Then I called the person for the location and I reached the company. OMG!!! There was no name that was printed outside of the company and the place was so small. No wonder I took a lot time finding the place. The name was printed in the second floor and I was asked to fill the form. Then after that, I went home. I was quite puzzled that why the person did not ask me any questions or test me on the typing skills. Maybe the person realized my condition and then she did not want waste time interviewing me. After I went home, I went out with my mum and Michelle to Outram Park. Michelle need to buy the BBQ pork as she would be going back to Brunei for 1 month. Then we walked for about 3 hrs and then we went back. Wei Jian and I went for haircut and then I went to his house to play Chinese chess. I was very tired then and would like to for a sleep…haha. Then today, my mum, brother and I went to Bugis for shopping. I have not been to Bugis Junction for quite a long time le. I have something very funny to share. As we were going out from the Bugis mrt, my mother asked us to see a guy. The guy did not wear his pant properly and his “pi gu” can be seen clearly. We laughed and I was wondering why the person did not realized that he did not wear the pant properly. Then we shopped for quite a while. Then my brother went to take us to eat the mango pudding. He said that he wanted to treat us but eventually, my mother paid for the mango pudding. Then we went home. |

This week has been going very fast for me. I have been working for the whole five days and I was getting used to the job le. At the same time, it also means that the work is getting boring because the whole process repeats and repeats. For the relationship with the colleagues, it was still the same; we did not talk much with each other. In my heart, I always want to build up a friendly relationship with them but I do not know why the people that I met most do not get too close to me. Maybe they don’t know how to communicate with me or maybe they think that I don’t like to talk to people. Seriously, I also find myself very hard to communicate with others because of my speech problem. In the past and of course now, I often answered people not more than 3 words when I need to answer in English. Also, the boss also told me that if I get a better job out there, I can leave anytime. But I think that until this moment, I don’t want to leave because I still have many things to learn. And also, I told the boss that I would like to learn some accounting like those transaction invoices and he said that he would arrange for his wife to teach me. |

This week, there were two persons’ birthdays. One was my brother and the other was Jovin. On Monday, we celebrated my brother birthday and we bought him a cake. This year, he turned to 18 le...can do many things legally...haha. We celebrated his birthday quite late, around 11++. It was because my brother went out with his sec friends for celebration. And guess what…my brother had three birthday cakes this year because different groups of people celebrated his birthday. Guess that he really has many friends. Of course, he received many presents loh.

Finally, I have started working on Wednesday. At first, I thought that I was needed to do programming as part of my work. But, it seemed that I was wrong. When I went to work first day, I was feeling a little bit nervous and worried. When I reached there, I looked for the young boss because I thought that he was the one who gave me work to do. Instead, he took me to another place which is also the same company. When we reached there, I was told to wait for someone to give me work to do. Inside the room, I could see there were about 7 to 8 people. Some of them had some disabilities also and they were working as good as normal person. Each of them had different tasks to do. Some do bar-coding scanning, data entry, making newspapers and many others. So Serene, who is the boss’s daughter, asked me to see her how she did the scanning using computer. The whole process was particularly boring. First, I was needed to put the film onto the scanner operator and to let the machine run so that the newspapers that were scanned were captured inside the computer. U know what, the newspaper was actually from 1929…so long ago. Then I was supposed to do the scanning twice for each film as the first time, was to see if the film went smoothly. Then the second time, I was supposed to write down the images that were scanned on which particular date and sorted it out. It was because at the later part, I was supposed to transfer the data into another computer and finally converted them into a pdf file. It was quite a boring and tiring process because just for the scanning one film, it took more than 3 hrs. Then if some data was missing when converting into the pdf file, I need to go back to do the film scanning again because the company expected 100% accuracy. Just like today, I nearly went mad because I kept cannot find the missing data for more than 4 hrs plus the machine kept hanging. Now I was very tired le, also back pain. Imagine that I need to stare at the PC for the whole day. During lunchtime, I went out with uncle, auntie Dolly and Bin Hao. The lunch was about 30 minutes so we have to eat very fast. Also we did not chat very much and I realized that the colleagues at there do not speak much just like me. That is why I feel weird, not getting used to such a quiet environment. I will hang on!!! It has been more than a week that I have not been blogging. It was still the same for me to live such a boring and relaxing week. But in the coming Wednesday, I finally have a job and at the same time, I can learn and spend my time fulfilling. Now I still don’t know if I am able to do the job. Haix… Yesterday, it was my brother’s concert. He has been asking my parents and me to go and see his concert. But we simply did not want to go. One of the reasons is we do not have money to buy the tickets. I know that he was upset that we did not go and support his concert. But most importantly, we did not know how to enjoy the music and if we fall asleep during the concert, it will be too paiseh. Today, Ying Qing, Ah Yong and I went to the IT Fairs that was in the Suntec City. I have not been to Suntec City for more than a year since last time; I worked at there as taxi surveyor. So when my friends asked me to lead the way, I said ok loh. At one time, we went wrong way and I was so paiseh. In the end, they lead the way. Then we went to Carrefour to look for Lister, my junior and we went to eat first before going to the IT Fairs. When we reached the IT Fairs, the whole place was crowded with people. There was hardly any space for us to walk. So we just pushed our ways through the place. So I went to buy a new earpiece since my old earpiece seemed like going to spoil. I did not know what the brands are or the functions and I did not care about it. I just asked my friends whether this earpiece was good or not, and I just bought it. Then somehow, Lister left as he needed to go back to Carrefour to work. Then one of Ying Qing’s friends came to find him and we continued to walk around. And Ying Qing and his friends went to buy their things. And I and Ah Yong went to relax and we were too tired after walking. Soon, they bought finished their things and we went to buy food to fill up our stomach. Then we went home. |
