Yes!!! I have been so busy with my FYP last week and this week. Hardly have any time to sleep and have been so stressed and sometimes I would ask myself why I am so useless…why other people can do…why I can’t...and all I think to get help from others. But we finally finish our project on time though our project is not good as other teams who have fully used the Django and Python programming language to do the project. We have started our coding on last Friday and we have never imagined that we could finish our project in just one week and a few days. Last Wednesday, Daniel went to my house in the evening as he happened to be around in my house area. Then he stayed for a while and chat with me. After that, we went to Queensway shopping center, Anchor Point and IKEA to walk around. I have not been to Anchor for long time le since it was in renovation last time. When I stepped into Anchor Point, the environment and atmosphere is so different. It is just like the normal shopping center like Tiong Bahru Plaza and has many different shops unlike the shopping center in the past. As we have not had any much progress in our FYP and only left less than two weeks to submission deadline, we decided to ask around whether if there was someone who could teach us. And so last Friday, one of my team members decided to ask a facilitator for help who knows Django and see whether he could help us or not. Then he helped us a little bit only about the URLs and inserting data…and he said that we need to do our own as this was a project for you to learn. OMG!!! At that time, I had a thought that if we know how to do, we would not even bother to ask him for help. Also on last Friday, I heard that MC King has passed away. I heard that he had breathing difficulty at home and when he was sent to hospital, he already was dead. When I heard about this news, I was so shocked that how could a nice man like him pass away at a young age of 40. I remember that when I was getting my laptop back last month, I saw him accompany his mother going shopping. He looked ok to me. That is I why I always tell myself to try my best in doing anything and if there is anything to do, better do first rather than having regret because you will never know what is going to happen in the next moment. And so we decided to finish on the URLs problem first. When I went home, I immediately went to finish doing on all the URLs part and have images appeared on our page first and then the data inserting. By the time I finished solving the URLs part, it was already about 1pm. Last Saturday, we agreed to meet in school as we need to rush our project. This is the first time I went to school on weekend. There are hardly any people in school and perhaps only 3 of us would go to school to do FYP and some foreign students who live at the school hostels. We tried to finish solving the inserting data into database and there is URL problem when we are trying to insert the data and link to the different pages that we do not want it to go. And so we kept thinking on how to solve but still cannot think of any solution. And we met for a while and then we went home. When I went home, I watched the recording for the past few days. After that, I turned on my laptop and played around with the code and finally I solved it though I am sure that it was not correct but as long as it works, then can le. Finally I have the feeling of excitement getting achievement and feel that good luck has come to me. And so in the evening, I started trying to solve the login part but I kept cannot do it. On last Sunday, we also met in school doing our FYP but the library was not opened so we had to look around for plug to charge our laptop. We discussed and each of us was trying to solve the login part but we still could not solve. My team members decided to do the admin part first and then we went home. Then at home, I also was trying to play around with the code but could not. I felt that I do not have life other than doing project and it has really killed my brain cells. I also have hardly any time to watch tv, spend time with my family and playing with my two little nephew. |
