YEAH!!! FYP presentation is finally over. Now I can relax le and can do anything I want. Today is my FYP presentation day and I was a little bit nervous and excited. I hope that the FYP presentation will faster present finished over as I can’t wait for it to end faster and then I have no worry. Yesterday, I met with my FYP members to discuss about what to put in the presentation slides. We also divided the slides among each member and discussed about the questions that would be probably asked by the two evaluators. We hoped that the two evaluators will not ask so many questions and too strict to us as our project and coding are not quite good. When I went home, I read through the PowerPoint slide and memorized the points that I want to say during the presentation and elaborate them. I also watched some Japanese anime as there was nothing for me to do le. So today, when I went to the school, I wore the working uniform and went to look for my team members for some discussion. I saw many students were wearing the working uniform and were preparing for the FYP presentation. I was not nervous at that time but as time was getting nearer and nearer, I started to become nervous. We were told to wait in the waiting room while other team is presenting. When it was our turn, we went to the given classroom for presentation. I saw two familiar faces as one of the evaluators has taught me before and the other, I got saw her before. And so we started greeting the evaluators and introducing ourselves. Whenever the evaluators asked us questions, we would answer them. If we did not any answer, we would smoke through. When it came to my turn, I was already so nervous and I spoke even more unclearly such that you can even hear my voice shaking. At one time, as I need to present 9 slides at one time, I need to breathe in so much air and I stopped a while. My members thought that I have breathing difficulties and asked me whether if I was fine. I found that it was too funny and I told them I was fine. And we continued to present for about 30 minutes. Soon we finished presenting the PowerPoint slide and we were told to show demo for our program. As we did not want the evaluators to ask us so many questions, we entered one field by one field as to delay the time. Then they asked us about the coding part in which it was our nightmare as we did not know the code very well. Then they asked me to about one question and wanted me to show how I could do it. Luckily, I knew that part very well and I showed them. Soon the whole presentation was finished and we were relieved that we did our best and were able to answer most of the questions. After that, we went to the Woodlands shopping centre to celebrate. We found that we were really lucky as the two evaluators did not ask difficult questions for us. And we think that we got a chance to pass for FYP. We also discussed what we wanted to do after FYP and graduation. Then they went home and I went to shop by myself. Now my worry is finding a job. Hope that I will be able to find a job as soon as I graduated. |
